Andrew became a partner with CMW Insurance Services in 2004 after 19 years experience with another large commercial broker where he was a Senior Vice President and managed the Construction and Development Unit. Andrew has been active with the real estate and construction organization and has spoken to many real estate groups on the topics of risk management and insurance. Peter is a founding partner of CMW Insurance Services. His role is to provide risk management advice and develop and structure insurance programs for clients in the real estate, construction, recreation and manufacturing sectors. Through his experience Peter has extensive knowledge of the risks facing complex operations and of all lines of commercial insurance coverage.

Peter has 36 years of insurance and risk management experience. Prior to CMW he spent 20 years with a major international insurance broker where he was a vice president specializing in real estate and construction.

Peter was born in Alberta and moved to British Columbia at the commencement of high school. He has lived on the North Shore since 1967. Peter Is a Chartered Insurance Professional in the Insurance Institute of Canada. He is an avid ice hockey player and golfer.

Chris has 35 years experience within the insurance industry, working in both the underwriting and brokerage fields. As one of the founding partners, Chris formed CMW Insurance Services Ltd in 1994. Prior to this, Chris worked for an international brokerage as an Account Manager, Vice-President in the Contractor Services Division, handling the insurance, contract bonding and risk management needs of contractor and manufacturer clients.

Gordon joined the sales team at CMW in November 2003. Gordon’s role at CMW is to provide risk consulting advice and management of insurance programs to a diverse group of clients including building owners, developers, manufactures and recreational resorts. Prior to joining CMW, Gordon worked for a national broker specializing in real estate and manufacturing risks.

During his five years with CMW, Gordon has proven success in development of corporate clients and the management of complex insurance programs. He is a leader in providing risk management solutions and the structuring of insurance programs for CMW’s property management and strata program and possesses extensive experience in claims management.

Gordon was raised in Winnipeg and moved to Vancouver in 1991. He has an undergraduate degree from University of Waterloo and holds CIP and CAIB insurance designations.

Grant started his insurance career with Pritchard Woodall & Associates in 1999 as an independent claims adjuster. He was introduced to a wide variety of clients and claims including liability, personal lines and commercial. He later developed a specialty in residential and commercial strata property losses.

Grant joined CMW as an Account Manager in 2008. His former claims experience, along with relationships developed with property managers and claims adjusters, results in a proven ability to act on your behalf in the event of a loss. His claims background also provides a thorough understanding of the policy wordings and coverages. Grant is responsible for managing a diverse book of business at CMW including both Commercial and Residential Strata.

Grant is an associate member of Professional Association of Managing Agents and an active participant with the British Columbia Apartment Owners & Managers Association.

As an account manager, Jordan advises corporate clients in a wide variety of insurance matters. He counsels clients on alternative loss prevention and risk mitigation strategies, which form an integral part of their risk management and insurance programs.

Since joining CMW, he has represented corporations in various sectors, including transportation and logistics, wholesalers/distributors, construction and retail. Jordan has expertise in the manufacturing sector, with a particular emphasis on complex liability issues and US products liability exposures. He also has extensive knowledge of marine insurance, with a focus on tug and barge fleets and marine terminals. Jordan has written articles on marine insurance issues and is a member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association and the Council of Marine Carriers.

Kevin participates in many different associations that focus on building ownership and property management. Kevin holds his CAIB professional insurance designation.

Kevin was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in North Vancouver. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys the outdoors including skiing, water skiing, fishing, boating, ATVing, snowmobiling, hiking and hockey.

Mark began his career in 1994 with an international insurance brokerage in Alberta prior to returning home to Vancouver in 2001. With extensive experience developing and structuring of large, complex insurance and risk management programs in the manufacturing, construction, municipal and transportation sector he has extensive knowledge in all lines of commercial exposures and coverages. Mark’s skills include providing clients with solutions beyond conventional insurance and is able to have a positive impact on his clients’ employees, customers and profits.

Mark is a past Director with both the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia. He is also a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Global Insurance & Risk Management Institute.

Richard came to CMW after 14 successful years with a major international broker where he was a Senior Vice President and a leader of the Vancouver Industrial and Public Sector practice groups. Prior to his insurance career, Richard worked in commercial lending for a major Canadian financial institution.

Richard has extensive experience managing risk and insurance programs for both large public and private entities. As a result, Richard has developed a valuable understanding of the diversity of risks facing complex operations.

Richard was raised in Vancouver and has an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia, an MBA from McGill University in Montreal and his CIP, AIIC and CAIB insurance designations. Richard is an avid outdoorsman and lifelong skier.

Shaheen has been a partner at CMW since 2005. Her role is to provide risk management advice to her clients while overseeing the placement and servicing of their insurance programs. With over 20 years of experience in commercial sales and management, Shaheen has developed a valuable understanding of the diversity of risks and exposures facing her clients. Shaheen is also a practice leader in the development of industry specific insurance programs managed by CMW for food and beverage, real estate, hospitality, assisted living, self storage, warehousing/freight forwarding and retail/distribution.

Prior to her insurance career, Shaheen worked for a large international development and humanitarian agency network managing major planned gift campaigns for institutions focusing on health, education and poverty in the developing world. This included securing donations and demonstrating the impact of donor dollars.

Shaheen was born in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in Kigali, Rwanda, Brussels, Belgium and Vancouver. She has an undergraduate Bachelors Degree from the University of British Columbia, and her CIP, AIIC and CAIB insurance designations. Shaheen is a past three time Co-Chair of the Canadian Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser, the Diamond Ball (now Daffodill Ball) and currently is a member of their distinguished Advisory Council, in Vancouver. She is also an active volunteer and participant with the Aga Khan Foundation Canada and with the Ismaili Community including the World Partnership and Ismaili Walks.

Before moving to CMW as Construction Insurance and Surety Manager, Ted was with National & International brokerage firms in the capacity of Surety Manager. In his early career, he worked as a journeyman steel fabricator having served his apprenticeship at Ebco Industries in Richmond. Ted has a diploma in marketing management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
